Balboa Peninsula

Balboa Peninsula Homes For Sale

Balboa Peninsula has been the “beach” for newport beach for over 100 years. This 3.5 mile strip of land borders both the Newport Harbor and the Pacific ocean. If your dream is to live at the beach this is pretty much as good as it gets. You will find condos, single family homes and multifamily homes (duplexes and triplexes) on the Balboa Peninsula.

Prices run from just under one million and up. There are two piers on the peninsula (Newport and Balboa) and you can grab a bite at the end or just throw in a fishing line and catch some lunch. Balboa Peninsula is broken up into some different areas when it comes to housing and all of our agents at CoastalGroupOC.com are very familiar with the different price points and features of all of these areas. Here is a brief overview of what some of those areas are.

Living in Balboa Peninsula Homes

Peninsula Point

Peninsula Point real estate is the most exclusive on the peninsula. Located at the far end of the peninsula you will find an amazing community. At the end of the peninsula you will find the world renowned surf spot known as the wedge. Whenever the waves are big you will find hundreds of people lined up on the sand watching the waves crashing on the beach. The homes here are all single family homes and are either on the harbor, the sand or right in between. There is a boat ramp for residents and a private beach as well. Home prices here will start in the $1,500,000 for a remodel and will go up to near $20,000,000. If you are looking for that old time beach feel with some amazing homes and views Peninsula Point homes are worth a look.

Balboa Coves

Balboa Coves real estate is at the base of the peninsula but it is worth a mention. Here the homes are all single family homes and the community is small and gated. If you are looking for a great home on the harbor with a smaller boat (you have to make it under a bridge) Balboa Coves could be a great option. Homes in here will usually range from about two million and up.

Newport Harbor

Newport Harbor real estate is truly one of a kind. There are homes in Newport Harbor that are large estates and others that are quaint bayside homes. Many of the homes will have a boat dock and some can accommodate 100 foot or larger yachts. Most of the docks will cover boats up to 60 or 70 feet however. Most of the homes here are single family homes and pricing here starts at around four million and can go as high as twenty-five to thirty million.

Newport Elementary

This page wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the coolest elementary school in we have ever seen. This school is on the peninsula at 15th street and the playground is actually on the beach! There are a large number of homes for sale around Newport Elementary and they are usually single family homes or multifamily units. We at Coastal Real Estate Group understand that schools can be a large part of your home buying process so feel free to check out our schools page for more information on the schools in the Newport Mesa Unified School District.

Boardwalk Living

Newport Beach has a boardwalk that runs along the beach from 33rd st all the way down past the Balboa Pier. If you enjoy people watching this is probably what you should be looking for. Not only are you on the beach but you will have people walking, biking, or running by right in front of your patio. The homes on the boardwalk are with either single family homes or multifamily units.

Balboa peninsula is a wonderful place to own a home. Whether you are looking for a fun family time at the beach, fun zone or you are looking to take a ride on the famous ferry over to Balboa Island, Balboa peninsula real estate really has it all. If you are looking to buy, sell or lease a home on balboa peninsula do yourself a favor and at least have a conversation with myself or one of my agents first. You wont be disappointed.
