Newport Island homes for sale are the best kept secret in Newport Beach. Located just a couple of blocks off the sand of the Balboa Peninsula you will find the small Island of Newport Island. Accessible at 38th st via a small bridge the parking is much better then on the peninsula and many of the homes have boat docks as well! Newport Island consists of Multifamily homes, single family homes, and condos. There are only 109 homes on the island so it is a very small community.

 

 

 

Newport Island, Newport Beach real estate is located between Balboa Coves and Balboa Peninsula.  Newport Island homes offer residents waterfront homes with docks while some on the interior with a unique environment that is not as well known as the peninsula and with only one way in and out parking tends to be a bit better then the peninsula.

 

 

Homes for sale on Newport Island are typically single family homes or multi-family properties such as duplexes.  On the interior (non waterfront) a single family home would usually be priced in the $1M-$1.5M range while waterfront homes on Newport Island will typically run over $2M.

 

If you have a family and are concerned about schools in the area don’t be.  Your kids will attend Newport Elementary (located on the sand) on the peninsula, grades 7-8 Ensign Intermediate School, and for grades 9-12 Newport Harbor High School.  All schools are highly rated and make them some of the better options in the county!
